About us
Today, with the changing environment, frequent storms, heavy rainfall, fast winds and other natural phenomenon cause uprooting of trees. Infrastructure development also requires tree removal. Due to this we are losing well-grown and mature trees in a matter of minutes. Once rich in biodiversity because of large green cover, our cities as well as villages are on verge of losing their rich and diverse flora. In addition, increasing pollution and swaying away from greenery is affecting human health. Due to this 'The Plant Doctor' was born. We are a team of enthusiastic tree lovers with a passion to do something beneficial for society. We replant naturally uprooted trees at the same place or relocate and replant trees whose uprooting was necessitated to clear space for development projects with all precautions. Utmost care is given post planting until the tree is healthy and has established itself again. Thus while we give the tree a second life, at the same time we give the society and ourselves a healthy life and green values.
Vision
Develop sustainably with trees. Trees play an important role in the water cycle, grounding the water in their roots and releasing it into the atmosphere. Trees help clean the air we breathe, filter the water we drink, and provide habitat to over 80% of the world's terrestrial biodiversity.
Forests provide jobs to over 1.6 billion people, absorb harmful carbon from the atmosphere, and are key ingredients in 25% of all medicine Reforestation and forest science have key roles to play in developing more sustainable ways to produce and extract agricultural goods, forest resources etc. Trees outside forests (TOFs) will have an increasing role in reducing degradation and poverty and will assist in sustainable development.
Mission
We have made it our mission to Protect, replant and promote trees in partnership with the local community to conserve and protect trees, associated biodiversity while sharing knowledge about the indigenous flora and natural resources.
We strive to inform and sensitize the infrastructure development projects towards the harmful effects of overlogging and deforestation on our planet and encourage practices which would be conducive to our planet's well-being.
We also aim to facilitate public-private partnerships so that various governments, the local people and us can work together towards a sustainable future.
